EOTD – Wild Kitten Taxi Sennyo

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

I decided I wanted to give the yellow/pink/purple make up another try. So this is the result from a 2nd try! It’s a lot better then the first I must say.

Products I used:

  • Eye Shadow Wild Mango – MAD
  • Eye Shadow Taxi – MAD
  • Eye Shadow Kitten in Heels – Fyrinnae
  • Eye Shadow Sennyo – Fyrinnae
  • Eye Shadow Shinkirou – Fyrianne
  • Eye Shadow Smokey Eyeliner – EDM
  • Eye Shadow In the Garden – EDM
  • Mascara Blueberry Volume – Lumene
  • High Tech Lighter Milkyway – MUS
  • Eyeliner Gray – FACE Stockholm

One of my favourite colours that I use way to little is Wild Mango. I just really love the colour of it! I got Taxi all over my lid and some under my eye. Wild Mango on the inner part of my crease and Kitten in Heels on the outer part. Sennyo in the outer corner under my eye. Smokey Eyeliner as liner and Shinkirou as highliter as usual.

I am really pleased with the colour output! It really shines bright! Love it!

Cold makes you wanna cuddle warm.

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

It’s cold. Winter and cold! This morning it was around -20 degrees Celsius outside. Saria did what all cats should do, found someplace warm and cuddled up.

This is our digital tv box which is always really warm.

For Zelda a warm quilt was enough to keep warm.

EOTD – Meerkat Shinigami Shinkirou

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Decided to try out two of the two new shades I got from Fyrinnae.

Products I used:

  • Eye Shadow Meerkat – Fyrinnae
  • Eyes Shadow Shinigami – Fyrinnae
  • Eye Shadow Smokey Eyeliner – EDM
  • Eye Shadow Shinkirou – Fyrinnae
  • Eye Shadow In the Garden – EDM
  • Eyeliner Gray – FACE Stockholm
  • Mascara Blueberry Volume – Lumene

Meetkat all of my lid and Shinigami under my lid and in the crease. I love both the colours! But Meerkat is very dual coloured which doesn’t show at all on the pictures. it’s almost beige in some lights, and pink in others. Very cool! Shinigami is a gorgeous dark purple that I really love!

Fyrinnae Swatches

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

I got my order from Fyrinnae! Haven’t even had time to look at them properly til now. I made some swatches and posting the pictures here.

From top left to bottom right:

  • Medieval Haunting: Beautiful golden brown sparkle in this.
  • +20 Beautification: Light blue wonderful shade! I love blue.
  • Saker Sashimi: Brown with teal sparkle.
  • Lemming: really gorgeous light purple with lots of sparkle.
  • Meerkat: This is also something I think I’ll be using a lot!
  • Glow Blush Mesmerize: A pink blush, will be great to try out!
  • Arcane Magic: Wizard’s Apprentice: I love light blue! This one is actually lighter then +20 Beautification but the picture doesn’t show it so well.
  • Griffonrider: Golden beige with some sparkle.
  • Broken Doll: a little less sparky then the rest, but a nice purple colour.
  • Shinigami: <3 purple.
  • Kitten in Heels: My favourite pink! finally get it back.

The glitters got swatched on their own.

Top: City Glam: Lights of Stockholm

Bottom: City Glam: Lights of Las Vegas

Great sparkle! Will be nice to try on.

Spa night!

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Yesteday me and my sister had a pretty bad day, so I decided to have us a home spa evening.

I ran by MUS and bought a Mud Mask and some Pastilles. We started with applying the Mud Mask, It’s gorgeously smurf blue! Lots of fun.

Then we used the pastilles together with Cool Balm and put them on our faces. It’s was really nice and cool balm really works well.

I really should have home spas more often! It’s fun and feels luxury!

The Mud Mask is really nice too! And there is so much in the tube so it will last a long time!

So, I am not much for lipstick and lip gloss. I just never really liked my lips that much and thought most things looked kinda goofy on me. But I have started to try out different things lately, like toning down my lips with light lipsticks and adding some gloss for a little glitter. I don’t usually show off my lips since they are (in my opinion) kind of big. But I wanna show some combination I really liked, today!

I have the lipstick Dust on and over that the lip gloss Azure, both from MUS.

Before I add my foundation and powder I always first work my skin with some concealer. My current concealer is Cover All Mix from MUS.

It’s great at covering everything form blemishes to remove those bags under your eyes. The only real problem with this is that it is a bit too hard in its consistency for my taste, which makes it hard to blend together and on my skin properly.

I found this other product that is very similar to Cover All Mix, works the same way but it seams a lot creamer in its consistency and it also has a highlighter shade as well. It’s called Camo Quad and is from Coastal Scents. What so great about it is that it comes in different shades, so it will be easier to match with different skin complexions.

Me, with my super fair complexion, I’m leaning towards the fairest of the Camo Quads, called Light. I think it can blend into my skin a little better then Cover All Mix does. And that is creamy is a big plus from me! The best part about it as well, is the price! Only $7.95! I think this might slip into my order when I look for the pressing materials I need.

Pressing Eye Shadows

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Since I’m born a big klutz, I’ve been eyeing the possibility to press your mineral eye shadows and using them in pallets instead of working with the powder (so the possibility of making a total mess lessens). But I just haven’t had the time/energy/interest to actually do anything about it. But now I started eyeing the product EZ Prez Pressing Medium from Coastal Scents. It’s a pressing medium made for mineral eye shadows/pigments and is supposed to work well with them! I’ve watched/read some reviews and I’m leaning towards making an order next week.

They also have palettes you can buy to store your newly pressed minerals in.

The only downside I will keep track of which eye shadow is which when they are all lined up in palettes like this. Maybe I’ll need to somehow mark the bottom with the name of the shadow. But! I’ll be able to bring them to work/anywhere without having them in lots of plastic bags and even then still having them leak powder absolutely everywhere!

The only real problem is that all tutorial videos I find mention that quarter is the perfect coin size to use while pressing. But I live in bloody Sweden, how big is a quarter? Well I’ll just have to see, I have some Euro laying around as well, they might work?

So I think I might make  a ‘little’ order at Coastal Scents and try some of their blushes or eye shadows. I doubt it will be very hard to find something I want.

FOTD – Just me!

Look a face!

I managed to take a picture that I think was rather funny and not totally horrible!

Here you can see both my “new” glasses that I always forget to use, and what my base looks like on the face!

The lipstick I got on is Dust from MUS.
